Before and After FREE PRINTABLE GIFT TAGS VINTAGE IMAGES

A quick glittering makes these so pretty.  Still haven't decided on the ribbons.  To make these, click on the tag image and it will open in a new window.  Click on it again and it will get larger.  Right click and click "save as" and save it to your desktop.  Or right click and click "print" and they will print for you.  I just used some white cardstock that I had.  Cut them out, add glue and glitter---GOOD TO GO :)

'Twas the Monday before Christmas when all through the house...Free vintage Images!

'Twas the Monday before Christmas
When all through the house
All the creatures were stirring,
Even the mouse.
The stockings weren't hung,
The list -incomplete...
Still haven't packed for my fine little fleet.
Doing the laundry, Red sweater- Oh SNAP!
Pink socks? AGAIN? ...I need a nap!
When up in the kitchen, arose the phone's call
Running upstairs to answer,
Pink socks and all.
"Her knee? Are you kidding?"
"Is there a gash?"
Away to the door I flew like a flash.
Phone still in hand, he in the drive
She with a limp for the ball she did dive.
"Now DOCTOR! Now NURSE! Now Ice -
Ibuprofen!"
The laundry, the packing, the list---No more LOAFIN'!
My head begins spinning with all of this treason,
I take a deep breath and remember the reason.
Close my eyes, say a prayer and thank my sweet Lord
For bringing light to this world through His Son so adored.
So when you get caught
In the stress of the season,
You too, take a breath and remember the reason.
The loved ones you have,
The ones you have lost,
Remember the LOVE,
For the THINGS,
They get tossed.
Speaking of things...
back to laundry out of sight-
But Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night :)
XO
Kerry

Dashing Through The Snow...Free Vintage Images!

Isn't this darling?  I extracted (always painful!) it from one of my old magazines.  I have posted it as a PNG which means it has a transparent background.  This way you can make a brush from it.  "What is a brush and how do I make one?"  I am sorry I have never explained this before because it is such a fantastic tool!!  The bad news is- I only can explain it for Photoshop Elements 7 PC.  The good news is-- You have that!??

First click on the image and it should open in a new window.  Then right click on it an click "save as".  Now it is on your computer and you can open the file in PSE.  I would open it and save it again as a PS document.  Now click on the brush tool.
Next Select...all.  Now you see the "choo choo lines" going around your image.  Next click on Edit and in the drop down menu you will see "define brush" - select that.  This is where you name your brush.  I can't remember about the saving but there are tons of tutorials about defining a brush.  This will just get it to where you can use it right away---Yay!  Instant gratification.  Sorry I don't give better tutorials---that is why I don't...usually.

Enjoy and if it doesnt work, just ask and I will explain it better!  SORRY! I am trying to squeeze this in before I have to go pick my son up from school!!!

I-I-I-I-I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas........ Free Vintage Images!

It is actually supposed to "snow" here in the Texas hill country!  I would be SO happy.  We had some teeny frozen drops this morning, but that's all so far. WAAAAH.   I have been "working" on filling my shoppe with goodies and so far I have only managed to add 3 more things.  It's my darned A.D.D. I just know it!

What was I saying?  Oh yes! My shoppe.  Please visit and give me some input.  Too pricey?  Bad pictures? Horrible description?  Do you hate it? Love it?  Huh, huh?????  I am like a little puppy, aren't I?  Sorry...

The top image is from a card I have.  It isn't a postcard, maybe the front of an old ad card.  Not sure.  The photo postcard is amazing.  Look at her fabulous dress.  The flowers, the ruffles, the beading, the embroidery(drool drool drool)...I want her dress.  There I said it.  I have more of a chance fitting into her dress than someone from the twenties, that's for sure!   Oops, Gotta get back to work...

In the Beginning...Free Vintage Images

I did it!  I started A Little Shoppe of Vintage (addiction) Etsy shop!  I am so nervous, but very excited about this venture.  It is a long time coming and almost (keyword BIG almost) like opening my storefront boutique that I have dreamed of having since I was a wee little lassie.  (tiny voice) I only have two things listed ---these things take time, you know.  Hence the "In the beginning" title of this post.  But please check it out, "heart" my shoppe, tell me what you think.  I am listing more tomorrow today (just noticed it is after midnight) so if you are up late, too, or in a different time zone, check back later for more.  I have vintage Christmas items (ornaments, etc) and vintage millinery in line for listing.   So PLEASE tell me what you think so far.  It's just a baby and I hope you like it!!

Here is the aren't you so very special to me part--
Followers from my website will receive 20% off an item of their choice through December 11th.  I know I am all about giving away free vintage images and I really wish I could give you free vintage things, too.  (I love giving presents, they are my love language---that sounds sorta bad!)

But, I fear I cannot.  I really need to contribute financially to our struggling household.  I am trying really hard to continue staying at home with my kids.  Blah blah blah...

I am not going to give the story...Instead, a free vintage image just for you!!!
A Merry Christmas Postcard that I cannot read the postmark on.  Enjoy!

For the First of December...Free Vintage Images!

Can anyone tell me the meaning of "Tollanskas Af"?
Happy day... again.

Oh Tanenbaum, Oh Tanenbaum, How Lovely Are Your Branches! Free Vintage Images!

I feel like the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland as I am always late for an important date!  Wow! It is December 2nd, y'all!!!  The truth is, I am TRYING (clears throat) to open my vintage Christmas (and more) Etsy shop which I hope (I hope, I hope, I hope) will be up by the end of the day.  Why so obsessed with the vintage Christmas? When I was 30 years old (clearing throat again!)  a few years back, God changed my heart in a big way and I am now Christian (of course, that is the VERY short version of my conversion!). I didn't "know" Jesus my whole life and was raised Jewish. We didn't have a Christmas tree in my house (but there was one at Grandma's), of course, so once I learned more about Jesus and had reason to celebrate Christmas, the more I enjoyed it.  Of course, we all know that Christmas is not about "things" but being human and a vintage lover already, I was drawn to the ornaments of old.  I am sure there can be many psychological analyses for my obsession, but I wander...So, there you go.  I hope you enjoy this image.  The poem is wonderful and pay close attention to the ornaments on the tree...Is that a Belsnickel (Belsnickle?) Santa?  This comes from one of my 1897 pages. Have a wonderful day!
