A Belated Happy New Year and Free Vintage Images!!

I guess I really am taking the BWO (blogging without obligation) thing to heart by not blogging daily or even on a regular schedule! I have been busy with kids and such but have also been creating lovely Valentine's things for my shoppe.  I need to get crackin' because it is not looking so great right now :( 

Here are some belated New Year's post card images for you to enjoy and a fantastic old New York graphic .  I have NEVER been to New York and dream of going someday (New Year's would be fun!).  The angel with the pigs is fabulous and comes from an estate collection from a Swedish family. I used to collect pigs when I was younger  YOUNG.  The Angel with the horseshoe and clock is from the same collection.   Remember, click on the image to enlarge in a new window, then right click and click "save as" and...VOILA!!!!  Take care my fellow G.A.'s

Something Different...Free Vintage Images

Today I spent some time at http://www.digitalwhisper.ning.com/ - Let me just say, if you ever want a little "art therapy" GO THERE!  The owner, Kimmie, is fantastically sweet along with the

whole community.  I LOVE it and feel so at home. This is from a digital challenge Kimmie posted.  The original photo was a doorway for the new year, new beginnings.  It is fun for me because I am self taught and always find a new way to manipulate or even create a new image on photoshop.  I have recently been inspired to print on canvas, so I will be exploring that soon...SO MANY THINGS TO DO!!!!

I was searching around thecypershere and there are just so many creative bloggers/artists.  Many of you are followers of my wee blog which humbles me so greatly.  Thank you so much!  Sometimes I get discouraged when I see the incredible work that so many of you and others have done/ are doing.  It's the whole artist esteem thing, I guess.  The fabulous thing is that I get inspired.  I know I am forever an artist and that things will progress for me as my time is more available.  Right now I am trying to create amazingly wonderful children, which, I know will be my most important and greatest work ever ;)

What doors will be unlocked for you this year?

Before and After FREE PRINTABLE GIFT TAGS VINTAGE IMAGES

A quick glittering makes these so pretty.  Still haven't decided on the ribbons.  To make these, click on the tag image and it will open in a new window.  Click on it again and it will get larger.  Right click and click "save as" and save it to your desktop.  Or right click and click "print" and they will print for you.  I just used some white cardstock that I had.  Cut them out, add glue and glitter---GOOD TO GO :)

All the creatures were stirring,

The stockings weren't hung,
The list -incomplete...
Still haven't packed for my fine little fleet.
Doing the laundry, Red sweater- Oh SNAP!
Pink socks? AGAIN? ...I need a nap!
When up in the kitchen, arose the phone's call
Running upstairs to answer,
Pink socks and all.
"Her knee? Are you kidding?"
"Is there a gash?"
Away to the door I flew like a flash.
Phone still in hand, he in the drive
She with a limp for the ball she did dive.
"Now DOCTOR! Now NURSE! Now Ice -
Ibuprofen!"
The laundry, the packing, the list---No more LOAFIN'!
My head begins spinning with all of this treason,
I take a deep breath and remember the reason.
Close my eyes, say a prayer and thank my sweet Lord
For bringing light to this world through His Son so adored.
So when you get caught
In the stress of the season,
You too, take a breath and remember the reason.
The loved ones you have,
The ones you have lost,
Remember the LOVE,
For the THINGS,
They get tossed.

Isn't this the loveliest card?  I thought it appropriate for today as I have been working on our Live Nativity at church and tonight it all happens!  My son is going to be a shepherd boy :)  (He is my heart on legs!)

I have the BEST mom!  She slipped some of the cutest seals and cards into my birthday card!  She knows exactly what I love!  I am excited because she lives in California and we will be spending Christmas together there...Awww, I am all warm fuzzied up now :)
